Random Lyrics

It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dying
that never learns to live.

Rumor Control

Submitted by choirdad on Sunday, October 17, 2004 - 3:59pm General Choir Chat

Hello, to all who frequent this site. Please do not confuse this with any anonymous posts you read. This is Mr. Festa, the Choir Booster President, with a word on rumors. It has come to my attention that SOMEONE is saying that NEXT YEAR the spring trip will be to NYC. All I can say in response to that is wow, good one! Next school year is next school year, and there has been absolutely NO conversation between the booster officers and the directors on this topic. There has been discussion on this year’s trip to Branson. We are going to Branson, the trip is planned and the itinerary is just about set, therefore if you are in 10th, 11th or 12th grade you have these two options...ready, option 1-GO or option 2-Don't GO. It's just that simple. We would like to have you on this trip, as it is said, "the more the merrier" and it does help keep down the cost. Many of last years graduating choir class said it was the best trip they had been on, so I'll take them at their word. This said, I would tell you this, if Branson is cancelled due to lack of participants it is unlikely that there will be a spring trip next year either. We are exploring the concept of one trip every three to four years for financial feasibility. Thank you for your time, and if you have any questions that you have please feel free to e-mail me at D_Festa@MSN.com and ..."Have a Good Day."

Let's start a rumor

Hmmm... We haven't been to the Bahamas in a while... Laugh

Seriously, the spring trip destinations are decided by Mr. E and no one else... if you want to go somewhere in particular next year, try suggesting it after this year's trip.

The number of people interested in the trips seems to be going down with each passing year... Can anyone explain this? Mr. Festa is correct in noting that, if it seems everyone has something better to do over spring break, these trips will no longer be offered.

Side note: I was on the Branson trip and can attest to the fact that it was quite enjoyable... but choir trips are always fun. Why? The trips are fun because you get to spend time, outside of school, with your friends from choir. To me, anyway, it didn't matter where we went for that reason. If anyone wants me to post some photos from the last Branson trip, let me know.

Branson was so much fun, I definitely encourage everyone to go.  Seriously guys, these trips are always a total blast, even if it seems that the destination is somewhat lame.  (You might compare tales of those who went to Chicago last year to those of certain seniors who chose to vacation in Florida instead.)  Besides, when else do you get the opportunity to sleep in the same bed as jenni festa? (wink, wink)

P.S. On the wall in my dorm, I currently have a picture of Tom Dobes eating pie in Branson... do you remember that Tom?

Hmmm... I don't seem to remember that. Then again, it was almost 3 years ago. It could just be that I'm old and forgetful though. Wink! You'll have to show me so I can re-live the Branson memories.
