A thought that'll make you go "hmmm" more than the warm ups

Why are we called velvet teens if we don't wear velvet dresses or anything for concerts? It's a strange thought that hit me the other day. Is it just because we have soft skin, or just because we're such smooth dancers? Just a thought. Does anyone else have any theories about our name? PJ Skylark

VELVETEENS of 04-05

Man tryouts was a big different thing for me. It may had been very hard, and tireding, but i had fun. Not only did u have fun, but i met alot of new people, and etc. Well anyways, i want to thank Mr. Emig and Mrs. Reinhart for putting me in Velveteens, because then i will know and learn more and my stage fright will decrease and i will be ready for anything. I also am glad i made it into this choir because its a big step for me from 5th hour to 3rd or 4th? (not sure) I am just soo happy that i made it... and even though i didnt make it into Vocalteens or CHoralteens i still am happy. Well i have to go now... thanks so much again seniors and Mrs. Reinhart and Mr. Emig! I love you guys!! love always: Katherine Naglosky

Thank you, Tom, for all the long hours you put in for this website, including going to New York with us to take pictures and videos. The website is awesome! I'd don't know what we would do if we didn't have you! Thank you, Mr. Emig, for taking us to such a great place and letting us experience it in a "New York minute". Thank you, chaperones, for putting up with a bus full of noisy teens for 16 hours. You are all the coolest parents anyone could ever have! I'm going to miss going places with the choir on Spring Breaks. Good luck to everyone trying out for the upper choirs. Hope everyone has as much fun on future trips as I have on mine! Aimee Street

Listen every single section in choir is awesome! Somedays each section sucks more than another section. Somedays we all suck! But the beauty of it is we end up blending together and making something beautiful. No one should be talking that there section is better than anyone elses section! If we were perfect or even near perfect. We'd be making money off our voices, but apparently were not! So yeah take that into consideration before you start talking about how someone elses section is compared to yours! Can't we all just get along!
